Meet Maxine, a passionate physiotherapist at Physiolife Kids with a deep focus on paediatrics and childhood development. A graduate of the University of Stellenbosch (US) in 2014, she furthered her expertise with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2017. Her post-graduate work in paediatric respiratory physiotherapy and subsequent hospital experience have enriched her clinical skills.

In 2021, Maxine co-founded Physiolife Kids in partnership with Wessel De Kock Physiotherapy. Since then, her understanding of child development has blossomed, inspired by her three lovely nieces and adorable son (who have unknowingly contributed to her hands-on learning!). Outside of work, Maxine enjoys quality time with loved ones, diving into a good book, getting creative, and exercising.

Committed to continuous growth, Maxine has achieved certification in Paediatric Pelvic Health and is on track to complete her Bobath NDT (Neurodevelopmental Techniques) qualification in 2025.

 

She is a dedicated and caring therapist who believes in making development and exercise fun for children. Maxine is passionate about partnering with children and their families to deliver personalised care that addresses each child's unique needs.

 

Her expertise encompasses a wide array of paediatric conditions as she utilises evidence-based approaches to develop individualised and comprehensive treatment plans that foster mobility and independence; while always ensuring therapy sessions are engaging and enjoyable!
